Me With a Time Machine

Text on the meme

Girls with a time machine: “omg, I could meet my grandma as a kid” Me with a time machine:

What it means

The meme shows an old-fashioned illustration of a person using a time machine to visit several elderly people lying in bed, apparently in a sickroom. The joke contrasts a sentimental fantasy about meeting a grandmother as a child with the speaker’s much darker or stranger imagined use of time travel, making it a reaction to morbid, cursed, or socially awkward thoughts.
