Thanos Plevris, a right-wing politician who has advocated for racial purity, called for shooting migrants, and urged denying them food, water, and basic necessities, has been appointed Greece’s Minister of Immigration and Asylum.

What it means

A screenshot of an AF Post tweet reports that Greek politician Thanos Plevris, despite advocating harsh anti-migrant policies, has been appointed Minister of Immigration and Asylum. The irony is that someone known for extreme anti-immigration views is now responsible for immigration policy, making this a reaction meme about hypocrisy and political absurdity.
