Iran’s Great Surprise Cat
Iranian state TV has promised a “great surprise” tonight that the world will remember for “centuries.” Rare Pallas’s cat spotted again in Iran’s Kerman province By IFP Editorial Staff April 20, 2025
A screenshot pairs a post about Iranian state television promising a historic “great surprise” with a news headline about a rare Pallas’s cat being spotted in Iran. The joke is that the supposedly world-changing surprise is humorously revealed to be an unusual cat sighting, making this a reaction to overhyped announcements and anticlimactic news.
