Cat Refuses to Wash
She: But babe let me wash- Me
A tabby cat repeatedly moves extremely close to the camera, briefly pulls back, and then returns with an intense, unimpressed stare. The captions frame the cat as someone refusing a partner’s request to wash, turning its deadpan face and invasive close-up into an absurd reaction to unwanted affection or responsibility. Colin Stetson’s intense experimental contemporary-classical music, “The Righteous Wrath of an Honorable Man,” makes the cat’s stubbornness feel dramatically over-serious and hilariously epic.
