“capitalism breeds innovation” was only ever true in the mid-2000s when cell phones kept getting more and more fucked up ^ healthy and diverse breeding practices ^ wild inbreeding in pursuit of uniformity and an arbitrary ideal of breed “purity” resulting in gross health complications Modern phones only breed additional cameras while spreading the genetic defect which removes headphone jacks. They’re basically five-eyed pugs with no urethra.

The meme compares bizarre, highly varied cell phones from the mid-2000s with nearly identical modern smartphones. It jokes that capitalism once encouraged strange innovation, but now produces uniform phones with extra cameras and missing headphone jacks, like genetically defective pugs.
