Traditionalist Cardinals Rally Behind Samuele

Text on the meme

Rumors are circulating that a group of traditionalist Cardinals are rallying around the young Italian Cardinal Samuele Hydelinni as Papabili

What it means

A close-up image shows a bespectacled man dressed as a Catholic cardinal in red clerical clothing, with church windows behind him. The caption humorously presents the fictional-sounding Samuele Hydelinni as a papabile, meaning a potential candidate to become pope, while traditionalist cardinals supposedly rally around him. It is used as an absurd reaction to mock Vatican politics, papal speculation, or an unlikely person being treated as a serious contender.
