Royal Navy Lime Diet Hack
Diet hack that allowed the Royal Navy to conquer the world 🇬🇧 limies if sailor's ill enough
A long-haired man presents and drinks a glass filled with water, ice, and limes while explaining that Royal Navy sailors were called “Limies” because citrus prevented scurvy. The joke treats the historical lime ration as a modern diet hack, made theatrically patriotic by “Rule Britannia” playing underneath. It works as a humorous reaction to overconfidently presenting a simple lime drink as the secret behind British naval domination. Sailors in the Royal Navy were known as Limies to the rest of the world. That's because the Royal Navy figured out that if you added Limes and other vitamin C bearing fruits to a Sailor's diet, they didn't get scurvy, they didn't get ill, which allowed them to conquer the world. If it's good enough for the Royal Navy, good enough for me.
