Zelda Enters Dark Souls
New adventure! Let’s GO! HEY! First enemy, Let’s get HIM! KCH! Welcome to Dark Souls, ZELDA
Link from The Legend of Zelda eagerly begins a new adventure, then encounters a terrifying skeleton enemy and is attacked. The joke combines Zelda’s cheerful fantasy-adventure tone with the punishing horror and difficulty associated with Dark Souls, suggesting that Zelda has entered the wrong game. It is sent as a reaction to unexpectedly brutal difficulty or an adventure that immediately goes badly.
