Night Shift Changes You

”Nah man, night shift isnt too bad you just have to get used to it” - Michael (Age: 21)

Rust Cohle from True Detective casually claims that working the night shift is not so bad, while the video gradually shows him looking increasingly exhausted, intoxicated, and eerie. The darkly atmospheric song “Far From Any Road” by The Handsome Family makes the joke land: Michael’s confident advice clearly aged badly, turning ordinary night-shift fatigue into a grim psychological transformation and a reaction for anyone destroyed by work.
