Don't Dig Straight Down

Text on the meme

>AND WHATEVER YOU DO. Don't. Dig. Straight. Down. <*other character digs straight down* >YEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWW >*all pause for laughter*

What it means

A black-and-white comic shows a bespectacled character warning another character not to dig straight down. The other character immediately does exactly that, prompting an exaggerated scream and everyone pausing to laugh. It is used as an absurd reaction to someone ignoring obvious advice and suffering the predictable result.
