Mario Is Getting Saved

Text on the meme

Yay mario is getting saved! mario..? WOW! He's gonna save Mario!! MARIOOO!!!! YOU SAVED HIM He's saving Mario! 😁 MARIOOOO Mario...?

What it means

A Mario figure struggles inside a block of ice, then the video cuts through increasingly hysterical reaction comments and anime, cartoon, and live-action reaction images celebrating his supposed rescue. The joke is that the triumphant commenters keep expecting Mario to be saved, while the increasingly dramatic reactions and the melancholic Radiohead song “Let Down” make the situation absurdly overemotional.
