Middle Class Matcha Latte
EXCUSE 50 CLASS TAX THANK TO WIN
A young café worker in a baseball cap and apron serves a green iced matcha latte while a customer orders 50 drinks for a middle-class neighborhood. The spoken dialogue humorously treats the middle class as an underserved group receiving charitable handouts, ending with the worker thanking the customer for helping him “win.” The conversational delivery, café ambience, and background music make the exaggerated class satire feel like a deadpan social-media sketch. Excuse me, I'd like to talk to whoever made this iced matcha latte. I did. Is there something wrong with it, sir? Take a look! It's so delicious I want to order 50 of them! 50? Are you throwing a party or something? Yeah, at the middle class neighborhood! Are you giving these out to middle class people? I'm gonna go down to the middle class neighborhood and give them to everybody that I see. Since you're giving these out to the middle class, these are all on the house. Why are you being so kind to me today? Well, the middle class has it rough. They don't receive the same social services as the poor, And they cannot parlay generational wealth into political power like the rich. Their tax burden is an undue hardship, as they subsidize the lifestyles of the wealthiest and poorest peoples at the same time. Here's your latte, sir. Thank you. Excuse me, sir. Would you like a free matcha latte? Wow. Why are you getting so emotional, sir? Ever since I entered a higher tax bracket, I've had to cut out luxuries such as matcha lattes. Giving handouts to people like the middle class truly restores my faith in humanity. I miss wins.
