January to June in a Blink
“It’s only January, I’ve got time” June
A close-up of Thomas Shelby in a suit and wide-brimmed hat slowly zooms toward the camera. The caption begins with the careless thought “It’s only January, I’ve got time,” then abruptly jumps to “June,” turning the calm stare into a joke about procrastination and how quickly half the year disappears. Kanye West’s melancholic song “Runaway” adds dramatic emotional weight, while the ding-dong sound punctuates the sudden time jump.
