Symbol [ edit ] :) 1. Alternative form of :-) Synonyms [ edit ] • (;, ☺, ☻, ツ Antonyms [ edit ] • :(

What it means

A parody Wikipedia entry defines the smiley face emoticon “:)”, lists other smiley symbols as synonyms, and presents the sad face “:(” as its antonym. The joke comes from treating everyday emoticons with overly formal dictionary-style analysis.
