A fast-cut absurdist video tours different regions of the United States, using increasingly chaotic collages of cats, cars, rural stereotypes, landscapes, flags, wildlife and fiery scenery. The joke is that each region is reduced to an exaggerated visual stereotype, with the Mid-Atlantic portrayed as a chaotic car-filled city, the South as Confederate-themed country culture, Cascadia as ecstatic nature, Alaska as bears and wilderness, and Hawaii as volcanic mayhem. The montage is set to Dos Minutos’ punk-rock song “Carta a E.T.”, whose energetic music and driving rhythm make the escalating regional stereotypes feel even more frantic and ridiculous.
