Making Catfishes in The Sims

Making catfishes in the sims

What it means

A video shows a female Sim being customized from an attractive blonde woman into an exaggerated, uncanny character with huge eyes, heavy makeup, a large smile, and a tall hairstyle. The joke is that “catfishing” in The Sims means dramatically altering a Sim’s appearance, ending with an intentionally ridiculous makeover. The clip is paired with SEGA & Naofumi Hataya’s upbeat video-game music, whose rhythmic counting and energetic mood make the transformation feel like a comedic reveal.
