CS2 Nine-Hour Schizophrenic Effect
All Events Counter-Strike 2 Events Release Note for 3/8/2024 • Added Schizophrenic Effect to players who played CS2 for 9 hours straight.
A Counter-Strike 2 gameplay video shows a player moving through industrial corridors while the footage becomes disorienting and unstable, then cuts to more ordinary gameplay. The fake patch note jokes that playing CS2 for nine hours straight causes a “schizophrenic effect,” exaggerating gamer exhaustion and hallucination-like confusion as a reaction to an excessively long session. The clip is accompanied by mistfulplays — “Autumn Leaves,” whose gentle melancholic music makes the chaotic gameplay feel mock-dramatic and absurd.
