An iMessage breakup conversation begins with a cheerful “Heyyy” and a polite rejection. As the breakup excuses continue, a sticker of a crudely drawn figure being violently struck multiplies across the screen, turning the sender’s sadness into an absurdly aggressive reaction. The upbeat music contrasts with the breakup and makes the escalating sticker spam funnier, as if the rejected person is completely losing control. This is used as a reaction to being dumped, rejected, or hearing an obviously insincere excuse.
