It’s Just a Hug

Text on the meme

“It’s just a hug.” the hug:

What it means

A black-and-white video shows an initially casual hug becoming an intensely emotional, prolonged embrace, with the partners changing as the clip progresses. The joke contrasts the reassuring phrase “It’s just a hug” with the unmistakably intimate and dramatic hug shown. Mac DeMarco’s “Moonlight on the River” plays underneath, adding a melancholic indie-rock atmosphere that makes the exaggerated tenderness feel even more dramatic and funny.
