The Kids’ Guide To The Internet, 1997

A nostalgic clip begins with two children presenting “The Kids’ Guide To The Internet, 1997,” while the audio says, “Want to write a letter to President Clinton? Would he answer us? I bet he would.” The video then cuts to a smiling Bill Clinton sitting with another man, turning the innocent 1990s internet advice into an awkward joke about Clinton’s later scandals. Foo Fighters’ dramatic rock song “Everlong” adds nostalgic, overblown emotional contrast that makes the reveal funnier.
