Cat Watches Rainbow Reflections

Every morning my cat sits and waits for the sun to hit my mirrored nightstand so he can see the reflection it causes in the room... He then sits and stares at it all... Like it’s a dream... And then falls asleep watching it ... JE T'AIMERAI POUR TOUJOURS

Every morning, a cat waits for sunlight to bounce off a mirrored nightstand and scatter rainbow reflections across the room. It watches the shimmering lights as if they are a dream, then falls asleep on the bed while still watching them. Patrick Watson’s “Je Te Laisserai Des Mots,” a gentle, melancholic indie ballad, makes the simple cat behavior feel unusually tender and cinematic.
