Mum Meets a Penguin Up Close

Mum meeting a penguin up close

A mother in a penguin-themed hood meets an elderly macaroni penguin at an indoor aquarium or animal-care facility while a staff member explains that the bird is in her 30s and enjoys meeting people. The visual joke is that Mum is dressed like a penguin herself, making the encounter look like two penguins meeting; the narration’s mention of free food and healthcare adds a playful comparison to retirement. The woman pets the penguin and then turns toward the camera, amused. So this 128th is one of our older macaroni penguins. She is in her 30s. That's quite old for macaroni's. Typically they live about 10 to 15 years. So she's an older lady. She also tends to really like meeting people. So she often volunteers to come down and meet people. She's kinda like our old little lady bird. But here at SeaWorld where they have no predators and free food and free health care.
