Geneva Convention Gas Argument

Text on the meme

GERMAN EMPIRE PLEASE DONT USE GAS, ITS AGAINST GENEVA CONVENTION!!!! :lel its fine it hasnt been written yet :ahh true ALL

What it means

A screenshot of an in-game chat over a strategy-game map shows players arguing about using gas as the German Empire. One player objects that gas violates the Geneva Convention, while another jokes that it is fine because the prohibition has not been written yet. The punchline is the deliberately cynical historical loophole and the absurd justification for chemical warfare.
