Ryan Gosling Gets the Girl

Me when a girl asks if the chair next to me is free and actually sits next to me instead of taking the chair away

Ryan Gosling looks confused and suspicious while seated at a formal event. The joke is that a socially awkward person expects the girl to take the available chair, so her actually sitting beside him feels unexpectedly intimate and confusing; it works as a reaction to surprising romantic attention.
