America? I Haven't Heard That Name

Text on the meme

America? huh i havent heard that name in years...

What it means

A bald eagle is filmed rummaging through a pile of trash while the caption says, “America? huh i havent heard that name in years...” The joke treats the iconic American bird as if it has forgotten America, creating absurd irony; Pixies’ alternative-rock song “Where Is My Mind?” plays underneath, making the eagle’s confused, dramatic rummaging feel even more surreal and nostalgic.
