Steam Frame Optical Drive Complaint
Why can't I use my detachable disc drive? I wanted to use my Steam Frame to be able to watch a movie on the road, and thought it was no big deal to use the detachable disc drive I had on my computer. *Turns out that the Frame cannot power the player and even if it could it lacks the drivers to read a disc. Valve, this not only killed my ability to watch a movie. IT KILLED MY ABILITY TO INSTALL MY ABANDONWARE FROM 2006. You don't sell NFS Carbon anymore (♥♥♥♥ you very much EA) and while I have the disc the Frame isn't able to read it.* May I PLEASE have the ability to use an optical drive? we will look into this thanks for alerting us
A Steam user complains that the Steam Frame cannot power or read a detachable optical disc drive. The joke escalates from wanting to watch a movie to dramatically mourning the inability to install abandoned 2006 games, especially NFS Carbon, while sarcastically blaming Valve and EA. It is used as a reaction to over-the-top frustration about outdated software, hardware limitations, or games no longer being sold.
