Why Use the Straight Bridge

why are all my people using the straight bridge with traffic instead of the fun one ? Help

A Cities: Skylines player shows two elaborate looping bridges over a river, while all the traffic uses a plain straight bridge. The joke is the frustration of designing an entertaining route that citizens sensibly ignore, making the decorative bridge pointless.
