Mao on the Power of Voting

Text on the meme

All political power comes from voting :) --MAO ZEDONG

What it means

A portrait of Mao Zedong appears beside the quote “All political power comes from voting :)”, attributed to him. The joke is ironic because Mao ruled a one-party communist state, making the cheerful claim about voting sharply contradict his historical legacy; it is used as a sarcastic reaction to political hypocrisy.
