Swedish Textbook Masturbater
"Masturbater" from a Swedish 1918 medical textbook. En "onanist", återgiven
A crude black-and-white illustration from a 1918 Swedish medical textbook depicts a stereotypically unsettling-looking man labeled “onanist” (masturbater). The joke comes from the bizarre, exaggerated appearance of the supposed medical illustration, making it useful as an absurd reaction image for something disturbing or strangely depicted.
