Separating Art from the Artist

Text on the meme

me in hell for separating the art from the artist

What it means

An anime-style blonde girl poses cheerfully in front of a fiery gothic hellscape. The joke is that someone expects to be punished for separating an artist’s work from the artist’s personal behavior, treating this controversial opinion as a ticket to hell. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to debates about artists and problematic creators. EN: An anime-style blonde girl poses cheerfully in front of a fiery gothic hellscape.
