Paradox Games Raised Me

THIS GENERATION WAS THE FIRST TO BE RAISED ON paradox INTERACTIVE® PRISON ARCHITECT taught me the profitability of the pro-profit prison industry. CITIES SKYLINES taught me that building car centric cities and just adding one more lane will solve all the city's problems. CRUSADER KINGS III taught me the need for Inter-Family marriage, murdering of children and eunuchs to secure my dynasty. EUROPA UNIVERSALIS IV taught me the positives of exploitation of foreign regions and cultures for monetary and development benefits VICTORIA 3 taught me that the only way to secure stable input of raw material, there is need for colonization and puppeting of weaker resource-rich nations. HEARTS OF IRON IV taught me that my nation being democratic is no fun STELLARIS taught me xenophobia IMPERATOR ROME taught me to never pre-order a game. AND I WOULDN'T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY

A stylized young gamer stands beside a list of Paradox Interactive strategy games, each presented as having taught him an increasingly cynical or morally questionable worldview. The joke satirizes how these games involve prisons, car-centric urban planning, dynastic incest, colonial exploitation, imperialism, xenophobia, and disappointing launches, while the speaker enthusiastically embraces all of it as an education. It is used as a reaction to express affection for Paradox games and their dark, absurdly political gameplay. objects / объекты: young gamer / молодой геймер, black-and-white cartoon figure / чёрно-белая мультяшная фигура, red-and-black hair / красно-чёрные волосы, blue shirt / синяя рубашка, green pants / зелёные брюки, game logos / логотипы игр, text list / список текста, prison / тюрьма, city skyline / городской силуэт, cars / автомобили, royal dynasty / королевская династия, crown / корона, European map / карта Европы, colonial territory / колониальная территория, industrial resources / промышленные ресурсы, national flag / национальный флаг, galaxy / галактика, planet / планета, strategy game / стратегическая игра, white background / белый фон
