20 Missed Calls From Mom

20 missed calls from mom 2 missed calls from dad

What it means

Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders reacts with increasing alarm to missed calls, first from his mother and then from his father. The joke is that ignoring many calls from mom seems manageable, but even two calls from dad immediately triggers panic and dread. The clip is set to MGMT’s “Little Dark Age,” whose ominous synth-pop mood intensifies the melodramatic reaction.
