Witness to Life’s Abundant Energy

Me when I remember I’m not a victim of circumstance but actually the witness to life’s abundant flow of energy

A bald, bearded man sits in a car and dramatically moves, gestures, and dances while the caption says he realizes he is not a victim of circumstance, but a witness to life’s abundant flow of energy. The overly grand spiritual statement is contrasted with his chaotic, euphoric performance, making it a reaction meme for suddenly feeling intensely alive or absurdly optimistic. Crystal Castles’ dark, driving electropop track “Crimewave” amplifies the manic, ironic energy and makes the joke feel like an exaggerated awakening.
