Kate Bush Did 9/11

DID YOU KNOW? Early in her career, Kate Bush was known for using unusual time signatures in her music. At a time when most artists were doing 4/4, Bush did 9/11.

A portrait of musician Kate Bush appears against a pink background with a “Did you know?” caption. The joke treats the musical time signature 9/11 as if it referred to the September 11 attacks, creating dark wordplay from the contrast between 4/4 music and the infamous date.
