Shrek Directed by Zack Snyder

Shrek directed by Zack Snyder

Shrek strides through a dark, muddy battlefield carrying a sword, with Donkey beside him and Puss in Boots perched on his shoulder. The joke imagines the cheerful Shrek franchise as a grim, desaturated Zack Snyder-style epic, exaggerating the characters’ dark warrior aesthetic for comedic effect. It is sent as a reaction to overly dramatic, gritty reinterpretations of familiar characters.
