Telegram Chats in Court
"the prosecution would like to bring up the defendant's Telegram chats"
A white-haired defendant in a suit listens in a courtroom as the caption announces that the prosecution wants to present his Telegram chats. He dramatically drinks poison, referencing Slobodan Praljak’s infamous courtroom reaction at the ICTY; the soaring rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” makes the moment feel absurdly epic and melodramatic, turning exposure of private messages into a theatrical panic reaction.
