Christopher Columbus Arrives by Boat
CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS
A shaky first-person video shows a rifle pointed across a sandy beach as a motorboat approaches and a man climbs out. The joke compares the armed arrival to Christopher Columbus “discovering” new land, making the scene feel like an absurd, overdramatic historical reenactment. It works as a reaction to boldly arriving somewhere or claiming something that was already there.
