What’s on for the weekend?
«What’s on for the weekend?»
A four-panel collage shows a gaunt, exhausted-looking man in bleak scenes: lying in the snow, curled up on a bed, sitting alone in a room, and facing a harsh overhead light. The joke is that his weekend plans are consistently miserable and lonely, making the image a reaction to having no plans or feeling emotionally drained. The scenes are from The Machinist, starring Christian Bale.
