Club penguin 2nd life VR Chat Metaverse

What it means

A four-panel cartoon shows a person progressing from Club Penguin and Second Life to VRChat and the Metaverse, celebrating with a medal and champagne. The joke is that the much-hyped Metaverse is presented as the latest stage of an awkward, already-familiar evolution of virtual worlds, making it a humorous reaction to grand tech promises.
