My grandpa in Vietnam

What it means

A black-and-white photo shows an armed soldier standing outdoors in military gear, with a truck and rustic buildings behind him. The caption jokingly portrays the speaker’s grandpa as a tough Vietnam War veteran, exaggerating his past to make an ordinary grandparent seem intimidating or badass.
