What it means

A social-media music post shows “Barbie Girl” playing faintly in the distance while someone is trapped in a wet cave full of rats. The cheerful Aqua song clashes absurdly with the disgusting, terrifying situation, making it a reaction meme for feeling miserable but hearing something oddly upbeat nearby.
