A calendar for September 2021 highlights the 20th while a tiny video thumbnail beside it rapidly shows people dancing and celebrating. The joke references Earth, Wind & Fire’s disco-funk song “September,” especially the lyric about the 21st night of September; the upbeat music turns an ordinary calendar date into an increasingly festive countdown. It works as a reaction to getting excited for September 21 or any overly dramatic anticipation of a specific date.
