After a Break-Up Timeline

After a break-up one day later After one week After one month

A three-panel cartoon compares how a man and a woman react after a break-up. One day later, the man appears cheerful while the woman cries; after one week, the man is miserable with a drink while the woman enjoys food; after one month, the man kisses someone else while the woman dramatically pulls her hair. The joke is a stereotypical and exaggerated contrast between supposedly delayed male heartbreak and immediate female recovery, used as a reaction to relationship breakups and emotional differences.
