Bitcoin Pizzas Worth $400 Million

Documenting Bitcoin Eleven years ago today, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoin. It became the first time in history #bitcoin ₿ was used as a currency. If you're wondering, those pizzas are now worth nearly $400 million. Pizza for bitcoins? May 18, 2010, 12:35:20 AM I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple pizzas. Like maybe getting a couple pizzas for the next day. I like having leftovers for munching on later. You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins so I don't have to order it or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a "breakfast platter" at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy! I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc. Just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that. I also like regular cheese, no fancy stuff. You can also order it cheaper to order at home or otherwise. If you're interested please let me know. Thanks, Laszlo

EN: The post tells the story of Laszlo Hanyecz, who bought two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins in 2010. The joke comes from the enormous price increase: an ordinary food purchase retrospectively looks like a nearly $400 million pizza order. This meme is used as a reaction to missed opportunities, early cryptocurrency adoption, or regret about cheap bitcoin in the past.
