The ADHD Iceberg
THE ADHD ICEBERG WHAT PEOPLE THINK ADHD IS: trouble focusing fidgeting WHAT ADHD ACTUALLY IS:
An iceberg meme contrasts the common perception of ADHD as trouble focusing and fidgeting with a hidden image of SpongeBob dressed in flashy green clothing, holding money and giving a thumbs-up. The punchline exaggerates the supposed “real” ADHD experience as chaotic, impulsive, and comically over-the-top, making it useful as a reaction to jokes about hyperactivity or unexpected behavior.
