If You Smile, You Killed Someone

Text on the meme

If you smile you killed someone in a past life

What it means

A split-screen TikTok shows a young man and a young woman reading the caption, “If you smile you killed someone in a past life.” They initially try to stay serious, then both cover their mouths in shock when the left side abruptly cuts to a hooded person walking away and revealing an exaggerated butt. The absurd visual reveal turns the dark supernatural prompt into a silly reaction joke, amplified by Seekae’s “Test & Recognise (Flume Re-work),” whose electronic music gives the sudden punchline a dramatic, surreal feel.
