Elmo Ends Racism
Elmo ends racism by declaring that no lives matter.
Elmo, a red Sesame Street puppet, stands with his arms raised between two other puppets. The joke parodies the phrase “Black Lives Matter” by imagining Elmo declaring that “no lives matter,” creating an absurdly misguided anti-racism statement. It is used as a reaction to cynical, tone-deaf, or deliberately ridiculous attempts at addressing social issues.
