Appropriate Work Rules Meme
KNOW THE WORK RULES APPROPRIATE Do you watch Rick and Morty? WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB! INAPPROPRIATE Do you watch neon genesis evangelion? HELLO, HUMAN RESOURCES?!
A two-panel workplace comic contrasts an employee who casually bonds with a coworker over Rick and Morty with another employee who responds to a question about Neon Genesis Evangelion by calling Human Resources. The joke is that quoting a popular show is socially acceptable, while revealing intense anime fandom is treated as inappropriate workplace behavior. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to niche interests or awkward attempts at conversation.
