QR Code Rickroll with Replay
Replay [Official Music Video] - Iyaz “As I walked through the doors I heard the voice of Jesus say”
A hand arranges black-and-yellow sticky notes into what looks like a QR code, then the video cuts to a phone screen loading a YouTube page for Iyaz’s “Replay” music video. The joke is a bait-and-switch: scanning the homemade code leads to an unexpectedly dramatic song, functioning as a musical rickroll reaction. The clicking and crushing sounds of manipulating the notes build anticipation before the loading screen and song reveal.
