Don't Cry Babe Comic

Don’t cry babe, I don’t care about what those doctors said, I love you and I’ll be by your side whatever may come. Don’t cry babe, I know it’s hard I just want you to know that our last few months together were the best of my life.

A two-panel comic shows a man comforting a bald, crying person in a hospital bed, then crying while lying across an older woman’s lap. The joke is a tragic reversal: after reassuring someone about a serious medical diagnosis, he becomes the one overwhelmed by the implication that their time together is ending.
